Jacey Ludlam, Mental Health Counselor Intern

I joined the Center for Grief and Trauma Therapy because I wanted to join a team that does
meaningful and impactful work. I strive to offer a judgment-free, open, and honest space for my
clients to explore their own personal struggles. I find that this creates a collaborative setting for
us to find effective coping skills, and to discover what life looks like after experiencing grief and
trauma. As an art therapist, I utilize creative and expressive methods to process grief and
trauma, and examine all the ways it comes up in our lives, as well as the ways in which we
begin to move forward.

Grief and trauma affects all individuals, from childhood through late adulthood, and it is never
easy. I want to validate and normalize the emotions and experiences for each of my clients, as
there is no “right” way to cope through these difficult emotions and experiences. It is a privilege
to be able to provide the space, time, and therapeutic expertise for my clients, and an honor to
be able to watch them make progress and heal. I love watching someone find their joy and
passion again, and welcome any individual who is ready to start that journey to wellness.
