Amy Kendall
Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor
I believe yoga is a transformative practice that can empower everyone to find peace, healing, and lasting mental well-being. My yoga practice began as a fitness routine, then quickly became a powerful tool to manage stress, revealing that yoga is far more than just poses. Yoga is a way to strengthen your mind-body-spirit connection and find a path to inner-peace. I teach yoga, mindfulness, and meditation in an inclusive and grief and trauma-informed manner. My goal is to provide a healing experience to help others cultivate their own mental well-being.
The Center for Grief and Trauma Therapy offers me an opportunity to share the gifts of the yoga practice with others. I teach grief and trauma-informed gentle yoga, grief and trauma-informed chair yoga, and mindfulness here at the center. By combining mindful movements, gentle stretches, and conscious breathing at your own pace, you can become more present and calm. It is through this practice that you begin to create self-awareness and healing. Yoga can be practiced on a yoga mat or while sitting in a chair. My style of teaching is grief and trauma-informed, however, this style of yoga is beneficial for all who are interested in learning the benefits of the yoga practice, no matter what your background or experience may be.
